Yes, all things are impermanence but life goes on and on. There is no stoppage or slowing down. In regular beats the seconds become minutes while the minutes turn into hours, days, weeks, months…….and years!
Only when we are laid into the coffin do we find complete rest in life. As long as we have that breath of air, we cannot ignore the impermanence of things, people………and relationships. When we give away that breath of air, every thing comes to a standstill in relative of us only. Life and all things else will be moving along without us!
I just imagine myself being laid to rest in the coffin when I have given away my last breath. Who would the people who would come to visit me? How do they feel as they look through the square glass of the coffin to see my face for the last time? Good riddance to bad rubbish or ……….? Then, they would join their friends or relatives and start chatting away! Would any one really miss me, I often wonder? Ah……..well then, THIS IS LIFE!
Like the herd of zebras, when the lioness has chosen and taken its prey, the zebras group together again as though nothing has happened and do not feel that there is one missing among them! That is animal behaviour as they do not know Mathematics and do not know how to count! Well, FORGIVEN!
In our short span of living, let us treasure each moment of the day. Treasure our love ones, our relatives, friends and neighbours, our doctors and nurses………..even our maids and servants. All these people contribute to our well-being and welfare! Have we thanked the salesperson who attends to us while we shop? Or the fishmonger who sells us the fish for lunch or dinner? Well, it is not late to thank them. Thank each one whom we meet every day, then we will not have any enemies!
LET US START LIVING TODAY AND THANK ALL THE PEOPLE WHOM WE MEET, SHALL WE?
