WHAT’S IN A WORD?

A  word is just like a hard piece of  rock: insensitive  and cold. It is not alive.  It  does  not  have  any  feelings.  It is neither  good  nor  bad.  It is up  to the user  to  decide  its   use :  for  good  or for  bad! It  is  up  to  us  to give it  the  life  that  we  intend  it  to  be!

But  alas,  it  also  depends  on  the  understanding  and  maturity  of  the  receiver.  Many  a  time,  words  have  been  misunderstood  by  the  receiver . As  a result ,  the  intended  meaning  of  the  word used  by   the  speaker  is  not  conveyed  accurately  to the receiver; hence  miscommunication  sets  in.

The  maturity  of  the  speaker  does  cause  a  problem. Most  of  us  interpret  a  word  according  to our own level of understanding, experience and maturity.  Also, sometimes, we are too preoccupied by our thoughts that we are unable to read between the lines.

Hence, in order to have a well written post, we must first decide who our intended audience  is. Next, how matured they are and what kind of experiences they have. Armed with these knowledge, we then decide our writing style .

Now, I must admit that I am not an expert on writing and my post or writing style differs from post to post.  I’m not particularly perturbed if no one reads my post.  I just love to write the things that come to my mind. Just for your knowledge, I don’t even plan before hand. As an ex-teacher by profession, I know that this is not the correct way to publish a post. Well, then this is LAZY ME!

(THIS POST IS WRITTEN BECAUSE A  STUDENT IS INTERESTED IN WRITING A POST. HE WANTS ME TO ANSWER HIS QUESTION IN MY BLOG SO THAT I AM TELLING HIM TRUTHFULLY. WELL THIS IS IT!)
