I remember that I always keep losing my things when I was young especially my books and notes when I was in secondary school. Either I was a very careless teenager or the thief was a cleverer person!
So, one day I decided to write the poem below on a page and pasted it behind all my books. That did the trick. I did not lose any book after that. So, today, I am sharing this poem with you:
Steal not, for fear or shame,
Someone sees you and knows your name!
Why sell your soul for such a morsel dish,
You are worth millions more than this!
Let this be your last act,
And turn over a new leaf after that,
Then my loss will be a gain,
I’ll be glad to meet you and know your name!
All these years I always wonder who that thief was and if I know him. I am just wondering……..
