THE AGONY OF A VAGABOND

A vagabond inhaling his last breath,

Knowing that his end is near;

Wants to have a last glimpse of his life,

Before he rests eternally quiet!

Life is a lonely struggle,

To pass each long day,

No one to love or care;

Alone he wanders about,

Though he has children and a wife,

In solitude he lives his life!

He is being left alone to care for himself,

No one ever asks about his welfare;

No siblings nor any other relation to share;

In all matters he struggles alone,

Even now there is none beside!

With his last fleeting breath he exhales,

Happy to be free from this miserable hell!

Will you not shed a tear for him,

And bid him a silent farewell!

May this be his epitaph,

As a witness that someone cares!
