GROWING OLD

How can we pull wool over our eyes when we are growing older day by day? “We keep on learning to remain young!”  This is what the poster says. What a myth this is! How can we fool or physic ourselves that we are still young when our hair is turning grey and silvery? We huff and puff when we walk up a flight of stairs! We can’t run as fast as we used to. Moreover, when the youngster in the bus give up their seats to you and address you as “uncle”. Growing old is definitely not of the mind but both physically and mentally!

No matter how much we exercise to keep ourselves fit, healthy and strong, we still succumb to old age! I remember an incident when the Inspector of my school boasted that he was fit and strong because he swam ten laps of the swimming pool every morning. He was a health nut. Yes, he looked fit and strong. No sign of any illness. Yet, on the morning of his 52nd birthday, he collapsed and died while he was having his usual swim!

But this doesn’t deter us from exercising to keep fit! The best motto is : Know thyself – thy strength and weakness. Yes, we keep on learning to be relevant for today’s age and society. Learning has no ending! We shall learn until the day we die. KEEP ON LEARNING TO REMAIN ALIVE will be a better motto! YES, WE HAVE TO KEEP ON LEARNING IN ORDER TO SURVIVE. WON’T YOU AGREE?

  1. I have been browsing online more than 2 hours today, yet I never
found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me.
In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be a
lot more useful than ever before.
