It seems like it was just yesterday,
We like children building sandcastles on the shore;
How we competed and challenged to out-do one another,
Before the tide came to the shore!
We used pebbles and shells to reinforce our castle walls,
Fighting against to intruding lapping waves,
How we squealed and yelled in delight,
When our competitor’s castle tumble in sight!
Those were innocent carefree days,
As children we enjoyed the play;
How Time flies in the twinkle of an eye,
All of us have grown old;
We enjoy to see our grandchildren being like us,
Still building sandcastles on the shore,
With grandpa’s’ and grandma’s help,
To compete in this game of fun!
How I wish that Time will stay still,
Till all of us have our fill!
