Every day we make hundreds of choices – both simple and complex ones. Do we actually take a long time to come to a decision? I doubt it! The choices we make come almost automatically. Only the ones that means life and death do we need to sit down and ponder over what decision we should make. Otherwise, we just make choices in a twinkling of the eye!
How do we know that the choice we have made is the correct one? No one knows! Even when we think that we have made the right choice, it may turn out to be the worst! So is there a formula for making the correct choice? We may cut down the number of bad choices (about 70%), the other 305 is our being predestined. We may not believe in predestination, but it is true. Religious people will believe that it is the will of God that we are in such a state!
Whatever it is, we cannot blame anyone but ourselves. Not our friends who give us advice or counsel us. Ultimately it is our own decision. No one makes it for us! We are responsible for the consequences of the decision we have made – be they good or bad!
I have written a few poems on Choices. Here’s another one. Hope it speaks to all of us!
RIGHT OR WRONG,
NO ONE CAN FORETELL!
CORRECT ONES MAY BE WRONG,
WHILE THE WRONG ONES ARE CORRECT;
JUST MAKE A DECISION WISELY,
TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY SERIOUSLY;
NO BLAMING OTHERS,
